Q: What price/service level do you offer?
We provide competitive pricing, but do not supply the cheapest, lowest-quality hoodies. We believe quality matters – inferior hoodies will only disappoint. As a family-run business, we focus on personalised service, helping school organisers and parents with everything from colour and personalisation choices to parent letters.
Q: Do schools receive commission on hoodie sales?
Yes! Hartland Hoodies provide 5% commission to schools on all hoodie sales of 30 pieces or more. If you prefer, this amount can be used as a discount to reduce the cost of the hoodies instead. Many schools also choose to add a small mark-up to each hoodie to help raise additional funds.
Q: Can earned commission be used towards subsidised hoodies?
Yes – you can choose to use your earned commission to fund additional hoodies. We’ll simply deduct the value from your invoice or payment total and pay or invoice the balance accordingly.
Q: Do schools receive a complimentary hoodie?
Yes – we offer one complimentary hoodie per school order.
This can be claimed through your school’s online shop using a voucher code we provide.
Many schools use this for Pupil Premium students or to support families who may need assistance.
Q: Can schools use voucher codes to subsidise hoodies?
Definitely. If your school wishes to subsidise some hoodies, we can issue a voucher code for that too. After the order window closes, we’ll invoice you for all orders placed using that code (minus the complimentary hoodie).
Q: Do you have a minimum order number?
Yes , our standard minimum is 20 pieces. If you need fewer, please contact us; we may be able to accommodate a smaller number, but the unit price will be higher.
Q: Can Hartland Hoodies create an online shop for our school?
Absolutely! We can set up a dedicated online shop for your school, allowing parents to order and pay directly. This saves organisers time and removes the need to collect money or manage orders manually.
Q: Do we have to use the online shop facility or can I place manual orders?
You can absolutely use manual orders if that’s easier. We can provide a spreadsheet template for collecting orders and details – just get in touch via email.
Q: What colour options are available?
We have a large range. For junior hoodies there are 24 colours. For senior/adult hoodies we stock over 60 colours. Please check our product pages for full colour lists.
Q: What size options do you offer?
Our garments cover sizes from infant age 5-6 years through to adult 5XL. See the size guides on the product pages for full details.
Q: What quality are your hoodies?
We use garments with an 80% ring-spun cotton / 20% polyester blend, providing a comfortable and durable hoodie. Logos are created with a high stitch-count embroidery to give a premium finish.
Q: How are your garments made?
All printing and embroidery is done to the highest UK standards. Ethical guidelines are followed throughout our production process.
Q: What options do schools have for prints or embroidery?
Almost anything. You can supply your logos and designs and we will use them. Both print and embroidery are available for most garments.
Q: How long does production of the hoodies take?
Typically we quote 3-4 weeks from order approval to delivery. At quieter times we may be quicker. If you’re working to a tighter deadline (for example after the normal closing date) please contact us and we’ll see what we can do – though at busy times (especially the end of the school year) faster turnaround may be more difficult.
Q: How is the ordering timeline managed?
We’ll work with you to agree on a last order date, usually set around four weeks before your required delivery date. Once this date passes, we’ll send you a full summary of all orders received and give you the option to extend the order window if there are late requests.
Q: What information do schools receive after the shop closes?
After the closing date, you’ll receive a complete list of all orders, including details of:
The total commission earned,
and
Any mark-up added to help raise school funds.
Q: Will we see a proof of our design before production?
Of course. We’ll send you a full artwork proof showing both the front and back design of your hoodie for approval or amendment before printing begins.
Q: How long is the production time once the shop closes?
Our standard lead time is 3-4 weeks from the last order date and artwork approval.

Q: How much is delivery?
Our quoted prices include one bulk delivery to the school or an alternative address. If individual home delivery is required, we offer this option at an additional charge (£3.95 per order).
Q: Do your prices include VAT?
Yes, where applicable all quoted prices include VAT.
Q: Do you send out samples to schools?
Yes. If you’d like a sample hoodie, send us your postal address and details of your potential order. We will send one free of charge, though we ask that you cover the return postage and return it in the same condition it was sent.
